Hitting the ball hard and 2 inches over the net is not always a great shot because the ball will land short in the court. The best shot are balls that land deep in the court and hit 3-4 feet over the net. You will want to learn topspin to hit 3 or 4 feet over the net and deep in the opponent’s court. Those balls are tougher to hit back and give you better chance at winning the point.
